Wild Fidalgo:  American Robin

American Robin (Turdus Migratorius)

My neighbor Dan Codd has provided some terrific photos chronicling a pair of American Robins (Turdus migratorius) raising a brood of young in his yard.  This is an amazing album which can be seen in total over at Wild Fidalgo.

  1. Hi Dave thanks for the welcome home. How sweet this chronicle of the robin and babies. I have one that always nest in the pear tree. I got a great shot of the babies last year. But like so many of my photos I just never have the time to blog them all. Boy hasn't the weather been so strange. We had 2 1/2 inches of snow on Mothers Day. Now that is a 1st for all the years here. It did turn to ran later. I am so glad I haven't rushed into gardening this year. Today I did get all my seedlings I bought for hanging baskets planted. The greenhouse does still come in handy for that as I can't put them out for another 3 weeks. So at least I can get give everything that I bought an extra start leaving them in the greenhouse for a few weeks before putting them out. Just doing a little at a time with having to take it easy with my back. Well hope the sun and warmth fills all our plants and gardens with the motivation to get growing. Hugs Carrie
